was talking too khaldoon al mubarak after the match and asked him how he thought it was going making city the biggest club in the world as he had told me a couple of years ago? his reply with a smile was were nearly there ! also aske about ffp he replied dont worry we are in a very good posistion with another large smile

Ffs. Ask him an important question

MUFFIN or barm

He has actually answered that question, albeit incorrectly, in one of his end of season reviews.

In one of his few gaffes as Chairman, he incredibly opted for muffin. Almost grounds for dismissal in my eyes.

I thought he went for Barm?

Now, I'm doubting myself.

I thought he'd gone "muffin" in an attempt to appease the yonners who support our club, but I could be wrong.

I can confirm that in an uncharacteristic moment of poor judgement Khaldoon did indeed opt for muffin.

Sorry, The product shown above is not a muffin

I was brought up in Blackley and in the early 1950's, my mother used to send me to Gray's bakery on Rochdale Road, just south of Moston Lane to buy half a dozen muffins which were flat and round.. We also bought fruit muffins which had mixed fruit added to the normal muffin (great toasted with cheese). I never even heard of a barm cake until I started work in Manchester City centre and was introduced to this bread product as shown in the picture above. which bore some resemblance to the muffins I had known all my life.

The so called 'muffin' shown above looks more like a glorified cup cake to me.

I tend to think that muffins are from the 'gritty' north Manchester where a spade is a spade and a barm cake is a product for the southern Manchester 'poovs' who call a spade a shovel!

Anyway, when do we hear about the new sponsorships?

Was he in Mary D's

I have it on good authority he prefers The Townley. Better selection of crisps, apparently.
