Muffin or Barm

I made the mistake of asking for a Bacon Barm in a greasy spoon when I first moved to London. The response was "We don't do posh food in here mate, you can have it on Bread or Baguette!" I chose the Baguette.

I tend to say a bacon roll when I’m in London. Treat these days as I’ve cut down on meat and fried food.

Can we all not agree on roll instead of barm or muffin? It’s dough rolled up in to a, you know, roll. Oasis soup.

When I was a lad , those American muffins were called buns.
We ate chip muffins.
Not barm cakes.
I don't understand the term barm cakes.
They don't have icing on and there are no candles on them.
MUFFIN.
A barm is a barm. The word cake is not part of it. Muffin is an American term used by the fat cunts to excuse the fact that they are eating cake for breakfast.
