IT'S A BARM!! Whoops sorry caught the caps lock!! ;-)

That's what having 6 fingers does for you

*lol* But, as I am probably the oldest poster on this website I can speak with authority when I say that since Adam was a lad it has been a BARM. Muffin was a mule and Muffins are an American invention!! IMHO

I believe that your insistence that it's a barm, together with your appreciation of the Glass Bridge are the reasons that I think I actually love you.

Tell me Eccles Blue, are you a married woman?

Muffin... Usually a choc chip type of cake

Barm..never heard of

See that's an acceptable post. You know what a muffin is, but having not been born and raised in Manchester, haven't heard of a barm.

Welcome back into the fold Sparky.

*lol* I was but am divorced now, however I am spoken for........ I think anyway.

I may have asked this before but..... have you seen the Eccles Born and Bred group on Facebook? They have photos of the old Eccles among lots of other things. Which reminds me I must ask if they consider it barm or muffin!!

You have mentioned it before but I'm not on facebook. I sometimes flirt with the idea but I've made it this far without it so may as well see it through now.

Stood in the chippy last night and one person comes in an orders a chip barm then five minutes later someones else orders a chip muffin my head was spinning i had to leave its all getting a little confusing now

Of course, sorry. I forget who I have spoken to about it!! I am getting old!! Sometimes I wish I hadn't got on to it, but it does keep me in touch with the ones in my family who live abroad. :-)

If I could just use it like you do, I would do. Unfortunately, a large portion of my family are dirty reds and some of them see facebook as a way of trying to wind up us blues. I know that when I've just watched City lose, I'd react and there would be fall outs all over the place. My brother who lives in Winton for example, gets very sore when United don't sweep all before them.

Why didn't you just order something and leave like everyone else? Hanging around in chip shops should be discouraged.
