Is it easy to get the S-Bahn from Dachau into the Allianz, and is it possible to get the same service to return after the game ? Thanks.

S2 Dachau to Marienplatz - U6 Marienplatz to Fröttmaning. Yes you'll have plenty time to get back after the game

How much is a Brass in Munich ?

I went here way back in 1993 (after getting pissed at the Oktoberfest and watching Bayern funnily enough) I vaguely remember coming out about 150 Marks lighter.

Edit :I wish we played English clubs more often, I could set up an agency recommending pubs, sussing out hotel prices, giving out various travel plans to and from the arena, checking out which bierfests are on in the locality and now even supplying info on where to find a cat house !

I could make money at this, I'm in the wrong bloody job :-)

An hour will be not enough. If it would be me I would like to be in the Arena the latest at about 8 p.m. as I would want to see the teams preparing and to hear the hymn etc. With all the walks and changing times - especially if you are a foreigner - you will probably need more than an hour to the Arena at best. So I would leave the Augustinerkeller somewhen between 6 and 6:30 pm to be sure I was in time and not to have to hurry.

(but I am German - if I'd be Spanish or Italian I probably would start at 8 pm) ;)
you can tell you haven't met many city fans

We'll stay in the pub until someone sees the teams coming out on the television and then run like mad to get to the station for the game!

less of that rushing
get a beer whilst watching the teams come out then get taxi
queues are for mugs

-- Thu Sep 22, 2011 9:36 pm --

I can never be bothered rushing either tbh, our record was arriving in the 72nd minute v Leverkusen after watching the first half in a nice warm pub near the Olympiastadion in about 1996, (it was about -15 and snowing).
We still arrived in time to see Klinsmann score the only goal.
