And... about the game...

The last time some of our team met Agüero und Tevez in a match the mood of Badi and Schweinsteiger was like this...

I guess they do not need any beer...

I have printed this off, it may prove useful

so what line do you take to get to the stadium?

Public transport:
The police advise all fans to use the Munich public transport system to ensure getting to the stadium in safety and on time. If you are travelling by train from Munich's main station or from Munich East catch the S-Bahn to Marienplatz and then change to underground line U6 (in the Garching-Hochbrück direction).

Travel to Fröttmaning on the underground. Travel time from Marienplatz is approximately 16 minutes. You then have a short walk via the Esplanade to the stadium. We recommend you use the Park and Ride(P+R) facilities and use public transport for a stress-free journey.

Maybe someone could put all of the important facts together in one thread...

We decided just to go to the festival for a swift half and then on to a more authentic bar

They don`t do halves at Oktoberfest. They lock you in for a full Leroy Liter. Heaven!
Just a turn of phrase mate
I'm not going to drink on the flight or the airport so that my first will be a Mass

What, not even the obligatory pint at the airport before boarding the plane?!!

Just discovered that Thomas Cook messed up my booking. They gave the club an incorrect supporter number, club said I wasnt eligible, Thomas Cook cancelled booking. They then sent e-mail informing me to wrong e-mail address so only just found out.

I've tried to see if I can sort out alternative travel but looks like only flights are £600 and would have to stop a night in Munich at a cost of £150-250.

Dont suppose anyone knows of anything cheaper thats still available?

Try Nürnberg or Salzburg as different airports. The flights will be around 300 then.

You can go from Nuremberg or Salzburg to Munich with the train - a Bayern day ticket for the train (9 to end of service) costs you 21 EUR. The transfer takes about 2 hours.

Or try Allgäu airport in Memmingen (direct flights to Stansted) - they have a transfer bus to Munich.
