When you arrive in Munich you need to buy a ticket for the S-bahn buy a "partners tageskarte" € 20.60 (I think) it is for up to 5 people and will get you anywhere on the s-bahn line until 6.00 am the next morning
Theres only 2 in our party so not sure if best option but what do Blues who have been before suggest for the S Bahn.We are in a hotel near the station and will be going in the Keller next to the station when we get in.Leave Thurs pm.

When you get off the plane, and go to the ticket terminal, I found the German Commuters very helpful, so don't be afraid to ask!

The ground is south east of Munich centre but it's 20 minutes on the s3 sbahn from marienplatz.
From what I can gather tickets are €8 to stand or €12 to sit, and knowing German football you should be able to have a pint whilst watching too. Kick off is at 6 so I think it's possible to get back to town afterwards to get to a pub to watch the champions league games which kick off at 8.45.
For those that aren't aware, Unterhaching are one of Uwe Rösler's former teams. Christian Ziege is the manager, and their players include some famous names - Hummels, Goetze, and Schweinsteiger, all lesser known brothers.
