Must see documentaries..

Just watched this about an American who defected to North Korea during the Korean War & has lived there ever since. Coincidently I ordered a book called the reluctant communist yesterday, which is basically about the same thing but about the Officer Jenkins who this guy hates.

there was one made last year i read about in the paper. A woman went to the highlands in Sctoland (i think). She stood in the same place everyday and filmed her self stood there for a hour or a few hours without moving.. Seems a bit art stuff but i always wanted to watch it.. Does anybody know what it is called or watched it.

Searching for sugar man,

Must see

I can't believe you're the only person to mention this. It has to be seen.

Just read a bit about it, knowing nothing of it before.
Definitely now on my list of one to watch.

"The Untouchables" on BBC 2 last Thurs (21/03) is a fascinating exposure of the corruption of both the banks and justice departments in the wake of the collapse in bond markets that triggered "The banking crisis".

Interview after interview left no doubts that serious and provable fraud was committed, only for Obama`s smokescreen department to wriggle and plead lack of evidence...........Not the same story for legal firms who are going after banks big time for huge amounts and winning.

Well worth a watch

In 1980 YTV made one of the funniest TV documentaries ever. - Titled "Another Bloody Sunday", the TV crew followed Doncaster Rugby Football Club as they fought Sunday after another bloody Sunday to avoid going a whole season without winning a single game. There for the last four games of the season the documentary saw the team battle without success until the very last fixture of the season when, in an almost fairy tale ending, the Dons managed a 6 -- 3 win against Huyton to avoid a season long whitewash.

Memory may be playing tricks, as it was such a long time ago, but as far as I remember this was a great watch.- particularly when focusing on the Doncaster player coach, Geoff Fletcher's, absolutely hilarious, team-talks.
That sounds brilliant

When we were kings, if you like boxing. Fantastic documentary about Mohammed Ali and George Foreman. Focused around the 'Rumble in the Jungle' and the Zaire music festival. Worth a watch.

King of Kong- About competative Donkey Kong arcade gamers

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0923752/

Sounds awful but I just could't turn it off the people in it are fascinating, I thought it was a spoof for the first half of it, but to my delight it wasn't

apparently a number 2 should be coming out because they battled after the documentary was made

It is a hilarious watch. I don't know if they are making a sequel, but I do know there were plans to make a movie based on the 2 characters and their escapades.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, but 'Bowling for Columbine' by Michael Moore is worth a view
