She's made so many fundamental mistakes in her position as Secretary of State, any normal person would have learned to STFU until they understood the issues, but not her. I really do think it's beacuse she's as thick as pig shit.

She is also aware that several government ministers have shown they understand very little of their briefs and get away with displaying their ignorance in public. They don't resign (and aren't asked to by an equally disinterested PM) so neither will she.

That's one of the more obvious things that indicate how things have got to where they have - the erosion and ignoring of the ministerial code when it exposed the uselessness or deliberate misconduct means that there is no sanction. Prior to this, there was an expectation of propriety.

As soon as the Patel report was binned (and the Head of Ethics quit), they all knew that there was nothing to restrain them. I don't know if there is a mechanism for making them show up at Select Committees
 
She is an absolute crackpot our very own Marjorie Green. Anyone with a brain cell would never put her anywhere near a cabinet.

Her stint on I'm a Celebrity in 2012 didn't end well either. Being voted first out isn't a great endorsement of her ability to engage positively with people.

The fact that she used to be a nurse baffles me the how she managed to hold any sort of a job down. She is completely unhinged and not someone you want looking after animals never mind people.

She gave up nursing in her early 20s and at that age there would have been a lot of supervision.
 
I fear for her mental health , i think she is drunk a lot , she has no idea of her brief , she often tweets something absolutely wrong , hope truss fires her pathetic arse

No but he was stabbed to death less than a year ago in his constitunecy - the On Line Harms Bill the Govt is sponsoring and trying to get through would make that tweet illegal - the Dept running that bill is the DCMS - Dorries own Dept

Then the bill needs to be wrecked.

This is the same government that called out an ex minister as a snake only a few weeks ago.

I notice Jo Cox's death where she was called a traitor by a far right nutter who favoured brexit had no effect on tories and their friends in the media singling out members of the judiciary or lefty lawyers.

Why would an incident that had nothing to do with online abuse have any consequence apart from people pushing an agenda?

I was about to post that surely she can't actually be pissed on the job most of the time it must be something neurological. But then I remembered reading Alanbrooke's war diaries and the state that Churchill evidently prosecuted a significant part of the war in!
