Names we miss from the old place.

The signs on the Wall just inside the Kippax.

'Commit No Nuisance'.

This one- used to piss my sides every time I saw it- They should run it up the spirals at COMS just for old times sake.

If anyone's got a picture of it, we could get it replicated banner-style at COMS!

I'd totally forgotten about that sign but it also made me piss. Scall, you might be onto something though. I'd suggest a flag and it can be our unofficial motto. 'Commit No Nuisance' - For those sensible ones amongst us it can be taken literally and for those more 'lively' individuals it can be taken as a highly ironic statement. Our very own, "These Colours Don't Run" with a nod to our past built in.

Of course, there is a chance that no-one else will agree.

Thats not likely, i like the sound of that.

I wonder if we can play with it a bit?

"Noisy neighbours commit no nuisance" lol

I like the old name *The scoreboard end* A little story relevant to me about that particular area of the ground.

City were playing Newcastle United late 60.s The heavens opened, and there was only cover from the rain in the kippax street end, if I remember rightly. The place emptied in about 5 minutes, I think everyone was allowed in the kippax because I don’t know to this day how me and my mate were huddling alone trying to get some kind of shelter under that scoreboard which of course was impossible as it was only erected on 2 upright stanchions itself. I had a new jacket on my old man bought me the day before. Needless to say, the jacket ended up like a midgets straightjacket, a soggy 53 bus ride pass the old belle vue, and a good leathering awaited my arrival home sopping wet, to boot. The game was abandoned at 1.1 and i seem to remember a Newcastle player by the name of Horsefield breaking our goalies neck in a collision ,it could have been Mulhearn, cant remember for the life of me who that goalie was.

Not a name but remember the steward with his arm around Gio when we went down?

The stewards were quality - the best around.

Avoiding dog shit in the alleys when queing for derby and cup tickets

Getting in as early as possible so my Dad could sit me on the wall of the big exit on the Kippax next to the Platt Lane.HSE would have kittens now as loads of kids sat on it right up to the top.
