Man Utd’s Nani nightmare: To replace Balotelli at City
By Staff

The one player Sir Alex Ferguson does not want to put on the Premier League auction block is Nani.

He would be better off selling him outside England, if he has to.

Not least because Nani reminded Manchester United just how precocious a talent he is with a fine chipped finish against Chelsea in the Capital One League Cup.

More than anything else Fergie has to beware of the Mario Balotelli situation at Manchester City and that come January, Roberto Mancini may ship Mad Mario and be ready to get a new striker for the Etihad.

Following Carlos Tevez, Nani would be ideally suited to the style of play at the Etihad and be driven, like Tevez to strike back at United.

Mancini lacks natural wide players and Nani would give his attack the depth he desperately needs.

Press reports suggest Mancini wants Neymar, but if it is Nani, then so be it.

Fergie needs to beware.

He would cause havoc for opposing defences in our set up,exactly the ability we lacked on Saturday.

He's direct, fast and can cross a ball - we have nothing like that.

My only concern is inconsistency, out of that he is world class player.

We're dying for player like him and I couldn't care less where he played or how he looks.

Yeah he'd be a great signing. Don't believe United have ever really got the best out of Nani but think Mancini would.

Nani. Whenever he gets the ball during a derby, I know it's safe to go for a piss.

He showed good form for a portion of last season, but says a lot that they are willing to let him go, and seemingly have been for a while, for the right offer. I do recall he doesn't get on with Slurgie though, think he has said as much on occasion, so maybe he's not all bad. Could do the half time entertainment in City Square. Oww! Billie Jean! Yea yea yea! Hoo!

Rags would never sell him to us, shirley.

I thought this was just a daft rumour from the summer? Why is it persisting?

He is the type of no-nonsense winger we need. Despite his alleged hatred of MCFC, he would probably come if offered a 120K per week contract. After all, money talks and he wouldn't have to move house. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... senal.html
