Napoli (A) Post Match Thread

Napoli deserve great credit for pushing us how they did. They kept coming back at us. I hope they win their league title, shame their fans are not so cool.

Yeah the only downside if it is that is that real and Munich will both finish second and we will most likely get one of them..
Good job other English clubs are likely to finish top of their groups rather than second. If they all finished second and assuming we top our group and if Napoli did finish second in our group, there would only be two other second-placed clubs we could face! I think.

Mind you, I think I'd rather face RM home and away with different refs than in a one-off final with a dodgy penalty making the difference.

1 year extension and I've said it here as well, he will not stay longterm at City

Well he's definitely not at Barca eh...why don't you stick to fawning on sadcafe site...I hope we draw ur lot in Champions league and do to you what we did to Napoli.
Pep is here for a while and hopefully he will be here for a long long time,

Thoroughly enjoyed it. A real game against opponents that wanted to play the game in the right way; probably the best we’ve faced so far. Stones was excellent but for me Delph was absolutely superb and never put a foot wrong when under pressure. It was great for Agüero’s record breaking goal to be a match winner in a big match rather than an easy one when we’re having a stroll. It’s a shame that most weren’t there to see it live but fucking brilliant for those of us that were. It was one of those “I was there” matches that will always be remembered.

On a slightly negative note, one thing that amazes me is that there’s still people who won’t give Sterling credit. Miserable twat behind me was slagging him off every time he touched the ball and looked thoroughly pissed off when he scored. We don’t need fans like that and he doesn’t deserve a team like ours.
I just find that amazing. Sure he has had his critics, unfairly imo. Yesterday was his best performance in a City shirt. He was on fire. How anyone couldn’t enjoy that is totally beyond me. Maybe the guy came from Naples.

Been trawling YouTube for videos on the match (sad I know) but discovered that Pep conducted post match interviews in Italian! He's fluent in Catalan, Spanish, English, German and Italian! Doesn't he know it's a waste of time! When talking to Johnny foreigner you just shout louder in English!

We need a proper boiled beef and carrots manager!....

Watching it back now, trying not to read the reports. Couldn’t believe the score line when I saw it.
THIS is the CITY I have been wanting to see my whole life.
