I'm sure the deal will be done Wednesday morning after Nasri's CL suspension has passed.

Dont panic!

One of the most sensible things typed on here for weeks.

Surprising you haven't been quoted more tbh.

if the deal had been done they could make a similar announcement is subject to blah blah blah and wait for a couple of days and complete - the deal aint been done ansd it is unlikely that the tming of this transfer is being timed becuase of his CL suspension

whatever happens Nasri will be top of the "to do" list

The thing is, City will choose when to announce the deal.

We will announce the capture of Nasri when it suits us most.

Wednesday or after suits us best.

Why's that unlikely? The difference between Nasri being available for our first CL game or not probably means a lot to Mancini - what if it's against Barca? what if Silva happens to be injured? There's no point getting him in two days early when he can't play tomorrow anyway, at the expense of that.

Making the kind of announcement they just did for Fabregas isn't standard practice, it's done in situations like that where they think it would be helpful to have a resolution, for reasons of not distracting the team and allow everyone else to focus having had some clarity etc - Nasri doesn't carry that same weight so there's nothing in it for them to do that/let us do that.

i wanted nasri to leave before cesc as he might stay but can't see him(nasri) staying now right??

Wenger will now tell Nasri he can play centrally in the hope this will make him stay - cant see it done any time soon

Nah I don't think it makes any difference, not like Cesc leaving will be news to Nasri, he'll have known it was more or less nailed on for weeks now.
thanks pal

Did Mancini not say that he wanted signings asap - pretty certyain he did

THIS

I have yet to get a good explanation to this. Doesn't the fact that he is on the squad and they play a game and he can't play because of suspension cuptie him?

Dctid

Just heard by the ESPN commentators that Barcelona payed 29million for Cesc (idk if pounds or euros), but how on earth does it make sense that we should pay 23 or 25 (whatever it is arsenal demanded from us) for Nasri!?
I swear i hate how everyone helps the best team in the world ALL the time!

The initial fee from Barca is 29m, Fabregas has to pay 6m to take it to 35m. With appearances and titles won add another 5m on top over 5 years and you have the true transfer figure for Fabregas
