The Arsenal fans have made it clear they dont want him in the team because he wont sign a new deal and wants to leave.
Yet Wenger seems to think its a bargaining tactic to drag it out and maybe play him.
Personally I have been saying for a while I want him at city but we have been messed around too on this now.
I say pull out now, go for Mata or an alternative and then sign Nasri on A pre Contract In January on higher wages but no fee for Arsenal. They wont be able to replace him then and will have an unhappy unsettled player in the squad with he fans on his back for the season.
We have an opportunity to force Arsenal out of the top 4 this season and we should take it.
If Nasri becomes a free agent, he'll sign for the rags. Less competition for places & more experience winning trophies. City would be unlikely to get a replacement of the same quality, which will cause a bust up between Mancini & the board, as he wants Nasri & thinks it should be done already. City will be a player short from the squad Mancini believes he needs. A load of contract lawyers execs & staff will have wasted weeks being paid to do a job that has been a complete waste of time.
Other than that it's a fantastic idea.
In that case, why didnt he just stick two fingers up at Arsenal and sign a pre-contract with the rags in january?
I thought players could only sign pre-contracts with clubs outside of their own country?
Otherwise wouldn't there be a conflict of interests for the second half of the season?
Does anyone know for sure... but I'm fed up of reading about how Nasri can sign a pre-contract with City or the rags when I'm not convinced he can.
Put me out of my misery... ;-))
