Nasri or sneidjer?

Silva's play making strengths are ground passes. He has the occasional good long ball but not like Sneijder. Sneijder has both.

If we get both of them on our team to link up, that's a combination that'll split defenses to shreds and not to mention get Baconface's knickers in a bunch.

The biggest problem is sneijder's mobility. You'll probably say that sneijder has dribbling skills comparable to silva, he doesn't. He's a targeted replacement for paul scholes, shouldn't that say everything? His playmaking is far more static than what silva/nasri/pastore could offer.

You wouldn't/shouldn't really see paul scholes/sneijder attacking from wide comfortably.

Or am I know flip all (yes, that's an idiom)?
He's far more mobile than you think..Far more. But he prefers to open up play with an inconspicous pass.

I think we should go for pastore this bloke is going to be shithot in a couple of years, but out of the other two Sami for me.

I think Sneijder just edges it for me but I would be extremely happy with either.

If we sign Nasri we're also making a top 4 team weaker which helps us out.

-- Thu Jul 28, 2011 10:35 pm --

Nice to have a constructive argument :).

Exactly, he wouldn't be in his preferred role in man city as much as Nasri or Pastore would. How Nasri/pastore prefers to play is exactly what what we need. The dribbling and impassive flair in Nasri/Pastore is crucial and IMO noticeably better than sneijder. They have the dribbling skills of an out and out winger (E.G. better than bale,A. johnson etc..). As for those long balls and play dictation, Y. toure is excellent (not as good as sneijder because he has to offer more as well) in bringing in adding that Paul schole's esque game dictation.

either for me .
depends what day it is and what mood im in.
sometimes changes within the hour lol

1. Pastore first for me but I know there is zero chance of that.
2. Then Nasri, Prem proven, scores goals out of nothing.
3. Then Sneijder, don't really like him, seems to dive several times per match (almost as bad as DiMaria/L.Suarez/C.(unt)Ronaldo/Ozil/T.Muller), plus he has a poor injury record and is older than the other two. However undeniably a gifted player. Oh and he really wants to play for Manure (apparently)!

Sneijder can play CM like this. Last time he did so he was immense. One of his better performances in my opinion. Spray long balls. As well as dictate play with Yaya. Both are great passers. Passers haven't hurt Barcelona or Arsenal when they were good :P. In fact, teams have problem getting the ball from them. What you don't see in MOTD is how often Nasri gives the ball away..Try doing that to Sneijder, Silva, De Jong, Yaya.

Richards------Komp------Savic-------Clichy
--------------------De Jong-----------------
------------Yaya------------Sneijder--------
---------------------Silva-------------------
-------------Aguero--------Dzeko-----------

Richards------Komp------Savic-------Clichy
-----------------De Jong-----------------
---------Yaya------------Sneijder--------
Aguero-----------Dzeko-------------Silva

A Sneijder would create more than abundant service for the links of Dzeko who really relies on it. Not to mention, when Sneijder gets out wide, he has one of the most menacing cross.
