Good point , might be a bit of swelling but you often see the player right again for the next game.

Far better an ankle than a knee.

It is if true unless its fractured.

Twisted or kicked you can be in agony for a while without any damage to the ankle so I wouldn't read a lot into the reaction of Nasty at the time.

More important is the nature of the damage to the bone or the ligaments or both
