Depends on his contract, and yes being relegated may mean it's harder to keep the player but doubt they'll be desperate for money and he'd have more value getting them back up before parachute payments decrease.Surely it does though? When Bournemouth get relegated Ake will not want to play in the Championship and City will know this and thus will be able to lowball as the selling club has no position of power.
Maybe we are getting him a bit cheaper than we would have, but only a few million and think we're getting good value at £30 million even with add ons without it being a rip off for Bournemouth.
