A very ordinary signing for me, one I did not understand at the time and after two seasons of watching him one I still don't get, a possible 50m transfer is simply a get out of jail card.
Watching him for Bournemouth he always looked underwhelming, neat and tidy but any decent striker would love to play against him and more importantly for us, on the ball he is very ordinary.

Pep would like him to stay, he has no issues about staying, but he's interested in what Chelsea have to offer and if we can get a fee and replacement we'll try and accomodate him. Sterling was never going to renew and the club were reluctant to make an offer he could not turn down, so from what I see we have got 50m and a huge wage off the books for someone however good was going to walk for free next June.
