If we manage to get £100m for Sterling & Ake it's a fookin great bit of business

£45m for Jesus & the £47m already in the bank from Torres its party time

Then add all these youngster sales its why we have the best people in the business doing the right jobs

£250m from January this year if these deals go through with a spend of £68m so far

Save our money & make sure we have set Bellingham up next summer to replace Gundagun & Berny if he's not signed an extention this Summer

It is not, we'd need replace both with similar quality and the 100m wouldn't cut it. Plus 2 new players on top of up to 4 already coming is a bit too much change.

50m+ for Sterling, sure, with a year left, take it and invest in a replacement. Ake, in addition to that, not for me.

Absolutely, but that only happens when players are ready and already featuring semi-regularly for the first team, like Foden, gradually built up to be capable to slot in. There is nobody anywhere near ready for those two positions, unfortunately.


Otherwise agree with a lot of that. Other than the last part as well, which is not how the club should or would operate.

There's every point in winning those league's each year, the monies coming in as you attested to, the CFA is nothing more than a football factory which now and again develops a player that will make the grade at City and allow the funds for us to be active in the market.
 
Maybe the wrong thread this, but you can bet your bottom dollar our owners and possibly Pep already have an idea who his successor will be.
This club is built on planning and succession.
Our competitors will always stay behind us unless they take a long term view.

That being £50 million plus and we have a replacement lined up according to Jack Gaughan. He also mentioned we quoted the same minimum price to Newcastle.

Pep seems to value Ake highly as a player and a person.

The way I see it, if we hang on to Bernie and get Cucurella then we've got a young and hungry squad, a few who will be desperate to have a premier league medal around their necks this season, and then money in the bank for another blockbuster signing next summer.

He's 4th choice CB, we don't need a £40m fully established international to do that role, its massive overkill. He was bought at a time when Stones looked done and before Ruben came and nailed a spot down. Now we have 3 words class CB ahead of him, it's a waste if his talent and our resources.
