Nathan Ake

If we get anywhere near £50m we have had their pants down
I think we overpayed when we bought him and he is clearly 4th choice
Every time he played I’m a bit worried.
Also not really sure he improves chelsea a lot

One step forward, two steps backwards. This transfer window doesn't look good.

Well unpopular opinion I think overall if we sell Ake our squad has become weaker in this window.
Too many leaving, very disappointing news this.

Fuck me never seen a window like it have we ever had so many players moving on before,we may not replace him didnt we give the young lad mbete a new contract and with the EDS coach now working with the first team we may see a few more getting a chance this year ..
I hope we start giving some more of these young lads the chance to prove themselves.

Mbete or Doyle will be going up against some top players in training, so Pep will know how good they are and if not, we can get someone in in January.

I doubt we'll have the defensive injuries we had last season so they may not be needed, but i'd rather give the kids a chance anyway.

He’s brilliant defensively but on the ball, he slowed us right down and wasn’t the quality needed. Really useful 4th choice centre back but if somebody offers £50m for somebody that far down your pecking order, you have to accept it.

No doubt he’ll be replaced too IMO given we can’t rely on Stones or Laporte to stay fit for a season. Interesting to see who comes in.

Maguire ;-)

I like this sale tbh. It’s clear we’ll only entertain it for over £50m, and I’d suggest that any club in the world that has a 4th choice CB worth that much should sell them immediately. It’s wasted funds really. Get a cheaper player who’s happy to not play so often and add the difference to the budget for the next big, key signing. It just makes far more sense than keeping him.
