Nathan Ake

What do the club do then?

I doubt we're going to get a top international CH who is happy to sit on the bench.
We have Dias, Stones and Laporte already and one of those isn't going to be happy about sitting on the bench to start with.
I know people talk about injuries but how many times do a club have 3 CH's plus the starting RB all injured at the same time? That wasn't a normal situation.

Then there's talk about bringing in a young CH from abroad, or a lad from Everton and Leicester have been mentioned. Why do that when they will take time to settle and have learn a new system when we have our own young lads, whose teams play exactly the same way as the first team, already here.
Our young lads have already been training with some of the world's top players and soon the defenders will be going up against two of the best young strikers in the world. If they are good enough, i think they deserve a chance before we spend on that position again.

So you think for it to be an injury issue all 3 plus a FB need to be injured? really not worth discussing is it.

Agree on the last paragraph 100%, rather our kids than youngsters from elsewhere. If they are the same level. If other youngsters have or are playing for the first team and are good enoug, then sign them up if they'd come.

Yes, i think the club should and will sign a capable player, as you suggest in your forst paragraph

Do we have a buy back on Tosin? Perfect for 4th choice and should come cheap too whilst we can invest funds on Cucurella and Raz replacement. Club trained too so will help us out in CL squad quota.

I honesty can't believe what I am reading on here. People suggesting it's a bad transfer window...Really?

We've just signed the best striker in world football for £51m! Julian Alvarez for £16m, Kalvin Phillips for £42m and still more deals to be done.

Our major outgoings being Gabby and Raheem which we are getting £100m or so with them both being in their final year of the contracts. Numerous players sols that haven't even kicked a ball for us too.

People need to get a grip ffs You don't know how good we have it here...

Very few are calling it a bad window. Manybare calling it unfinished. Thinking replacements for certain outgoing players are needed or expected, right or wrong, isn't calling it bad.

I thought about that, too. I suspect that that ship has long since sailed. Buy-back options are normally limited in time — only normal. He apparently had a very good season with Fulham.

well on the positive side - read a trivia - the last few UCL winners all have had a Croatian player in their team

if we get him , that's next season UCL in the bag ! :-)
If we sell either Stones, Laporte or Dias then bring him in. We would still have to bring an extra defender if we did sell.
