There's a big chance if Ake is ready to go there. He is a fantastic lad but injury prone. Having him and Stones means we need 6 CBs to avoid an injury crisis.

I think he knows he isnt first choice and it's a world cup year, so he may want that.

I'd prefer him to stay as he is HG and left footed, and if Akanji goes, we are probably still good on CBs, but its more reassuring to have him as an option.

But I suspect that's not good enough to be an option, he wants to start.
