NATO, Get the F@#k Out...

Too many replacing western influence with Wagner and China. Good luck with that.
All about the money and how they can syphon it off into their own pockets. Russia and China leveraging whole countries in order to own their resources at a later date, allowed by western countries who cut back on their overseas aid.

Money is influence, influence is money.

Depends on the viewpoint of what's at the end of it.

Russia and China are actually making trades and having partnerships for assets, not installing puppet govs to loot them.

Why do you think BRICS is working?

As a side note, the destabilising of Libya is the result no other African country wants for itself, hence what's happening.
Wow.

International politics is a dirty, dirty business.

That's why I can't understand people getting so prissy over certain countries like the KSA and UAE. The UK, and every other 'major' country has dirty hands and is involved in a competition for resources and influence. It isn't Sunday School and no one - no one - plays fair.

If Hitler was around today and doing the stuff he did, then as long as he was opposed to Russia and China we would be trading with him and investing in his country.

Immoral? Yes, it is. And I can't imagine any government of this country that would be any better. Historically both Labour and Tory governments (and Liberal if you go back that far) have been involved in all manner of immoral business abroad.
Sorry, mate, cannot agree with you on people like Hitler. Our supposed leaders would sell their soul to the highest bidder but when it comes to the crunch, we’ll try to do the right thing.

Remember, we have been allowing Russia to push money through London yet when it come to it, we stood-up, once again.

Bit creepy that you used that analogy, to be honest.

It's a remarkable level of ignorance.

He also appears to be labouring under the assumption that all western aligned governments in Africa are always puppets (and obviously Russian or Chinese friendly governments aren't).

They can't act in what they believe to be the apparent self interests of their country or ethnic group.

You know what’s at the end of it. It ain’t sunny uplands and trebles all round.

There’s a difference between China and Russia. Neither are in Africa for benevolent reasons but for China it’s all about securing resources to support their 1.4bn population and to become the foremost economic superpower. For Russia, with its relatively small population and abundant domestic resources, it’s more about projecting their military power around the world.

Not to forget it's also about developing export markets for their goods.

Right now some criticise NATO policy and they criticise the policies of the west but it's massively ironic that they do so whilst sat in their nice comfortable chair with a roof over their head.

Every single person on this forum whether they support it or not are beneficiaries of western policies and the irony is also again that they will choose to remain beneficiaries regardless.

The reason for this is survival. There is no such thing as morality when it comes to our own survival and humans have proven this time and time again throughout human history.

Im struggling to see what any of this has to do with NATO. NATO is a defence pact between countries, nothing more. what some member states do is the member states doing it, not NATO. There are 0 Nato bases in Africa, there are however US bases in Africa.

Its the same level of argument that was had around Brexit. where people quoted random MP's ( or ex MP's ) from EU countries saying something inflammatory and stating it as "the EU says".
