That's understandable, emotions often evoke extremities of opinion....... however, your reply still doesn't explain or justify the use of the term scapegoat.

Ok the team put in a shit performance and it is the same players who get it in the neck ( scapegoats) while some player's seen above criticism, simples.

I think someone may have posted about this but i don't think it helps Navas case when Zabaleta goes bombing down the wing, sometimes Zabs can be the furthest player forward at times, i'd never change this at all but think if Navas plays then he can be the one doing that.

I don't completely get what he offers us that AJ didn't?

I know AJ left under a different manager and before JN, but from what I've seen I can't tell.

It's interesting that less English players don't go abroad. I reckon players like AJ would have a field day in a slower league like Italy or Spain.

Will take time to settle I think. He is quick and technically very good, would be perfect in a 4-3-3 rather than a 4-4-2. I think he needs a stable period in the side to get a relationship with the full back. It is all about getting the full back isolated and Navas space to run at people.

Newcastle had two player stuck on him every time he got the ball ,sometimes even three of them. The opponent see him as a threat but not to some on bluemoon .

If Richards stays fit i think they could be a very effective partnership,a fullbacks nightmare.

Navas is technically very good and quick -thinking, He does well with prompt service as when Dzeko's long, weighted pass up the inside right channel put him one on one with a flummoxed Krull who'd strayed out of his area. Navas turned the keeper inside out, sending him sprawling over the goalline by sheer skill. Then he calmly passed back to Milner who really should've scored from a golden chance.

Navas had a good game at Newcastle.

He was our only outlet for much of the game, and always made himself available. He isn't going to take on half a team on his own like Townsend, but he keeps the ball and uses it very well.
