They've made a change to their streaming coverage. Now they have a "tactical camera" view which shows most of the pitch and cuts the announcers. It's nice.

Really? I was not aware of this. Excellent innovation. NBCSN usually has decent commentators and they don't get on my tits remotely as much as some (Tyler, Quinn, etc.)

But I can't wait to check out the tactical camera. I've wanted something like that as an option forever.

Okay, then Fox, gauntlet thrown. What can you do for us here in the states to allow us to bypass Gus Fucking Johnson, then?

NBC has been doing cams without commentary going back several Olympics. A lot of events that aren't televised they still stream cameras. It's really refreshing to just watch the events almost as if you were in the stands without the commentary.

I thought it was interesting that FOX subleased a considerable portion of its European games to ESPN for streaming for the next several years. They appear willing to punt on the digital game until 2018.

Crap I hope they don't get the Premier League bid.

Re: NBC (USA) show EVERY premier league game live all season

On our way home after our holiday and stayed in a hotel overnight.

I had a glance at the channel guide for the TV in our room and noticed NBC Sports Network was among them.

I decided to have a look to see if we were on.

Bingo!

So instead of going out to look for a mall, we watched City move back into second place.

Excellent!

interesting, I'll have to look for this the next time I have it up, thank you for mentioning it

- but aside from the director cutting to pictures of the sun setting over the stadium or someone sitting in the stands (usually an injured player or celebrity) during the match whilst the ball is in play, I have to compliment the recent coverage & commentary teams which have been excellent for the games I've seen.

Happy days. The first station to give it proper treatment. ESPN's coverage was alright, but always going to be 2nd fiddle to college football on Saturday mornings. FOX is just the worst. NBC has gone all in and the coverage has been top class. Great news.

Wonderful news. NBC has done an outstanding job with their coverage. Every match every week is something that you can't get with any of the American big four sports unless you pay a premium for something like NFL Sunday Ticket or NBA League Pass.
