Nearly 5 years on - how do you feel about the new badge?

I really like it still. Let's be honest, anything is better than the eagle and stars disaster.

If it had just been the shield with no eagle, stars and motto, it would have been so much better
As for our current badge, it really should have been either the three stripes or the rose, not both
As for the Manchester bee, it's never been on our club badge, so if we introduce it now it would feel like we're bandwagon jumping

Agree on the bee it can be seen two ways also. The slave like working conditions of the industrial revolution shortening people's hard lives / Manchester people were hard working - there was no choice.

The new badge was revealed in late 2015 and the time feels like it has flown by since then!

Personally I was never a fan of the badge introduced in 1997 and despite it being worn during some iconic moments for the club, it just never felt like the ‘real’ Manchester City badge to me.

This meant I was hugely in favour of a new badge which took inspiration from the round efforts which came before. Despite this, I wasn’t actually hugely impressed by the new badge when I first saw it and felt that I’d seen a few better efforts on here.

Over the last few years it has really grown on me though. Seeing it last year on the 125th anniversary merchandise especially made it look like the ‘proper’ Manchester City badge and truth is, I actually really like it now.

Never had a problem with the eagle in all honesty. didn’t think it needed changing at the time as I saw it as them trying to rebrand the club for the new era of fan we’d attract due to our success but I have no complaints with the design itself. Just so long as they don’t go looking to refresh it constantly.

I agree. Some things should be sacred. Sky blue and white home kit and the badge should none negotiable. I disliked the eagle badge, that said I think I had some of the most fun times as a blue whilst we had it.

Not sure what the issue is with the red rose of Lancashire. I’m a traditionalist and think of the U.K. in terms of counties rather than these “Greater” conurbations. Have no issue with the bee either beyond the bandwagon charge and I think it wouldn’t stand out like the rose.

Still think it needed the 3 rivers and "FC" on it, City are, after all, a football club.
