Agreed on all counts. It may not be good for my heart, but playing poorly and winning where a young player gets some valuable experience is a good thing.oakiecokie said:remoh said:Very true. QPR set them a real test and sometimes you can only play as well as you're allowed to.taconinja said:No, I'm not and that's frankly a ridiculous assertion. It borders on offensive in how stupid the assertion is.
Richards had a bad match. Most every player did. It's not shocking to think that moving him to CB wouldn't improve his performance in the match. It's a good thing I don't believe in judging a player on one match or perhaps I would be enough of a moron to think Richards should be benched after one off-match.
Lessons will have been learned from this game and thats valuable.
We won and I don't think we should be too hard on our lads.
And to quote a certain Mr Hansen "we`ll see how good City are, when under pressure"
He even mentioned it on MOTD after the QRP game and even he now realises that we are a half decent team,he did give us some credit.
Play badly and win and that is the sign of a team that can seriously win the PL.
And for the record, I could not have been any prouder to see Micah wearing that captain's band. Not a whit. I don't care if he had a poor match. He's been marvelous.
