Exactly but I still think you can encourage your defensive midfielders to pass it forward more instead of sidweways or back. Look at Carrick or Scholes they hardly ever pass it backwards especially Carrick. Surely it wouldn't be that hard to coach the likes of De Jong or Barry to do the same. All it does is take the pace out of our attack and allow them to reorganise.

I was impressed with the way he had the nous to replace a left back with a forward (not necessarily th forward himself) and totally switch tactics.

He didn't play Ireland though scorer and because of that he's too negative depsite what the stats and the highlights of the second half show you.

lets say hughes was'nt good enough for city, then purely on results and performances niether is mancini, so as i have always said, why change?
We now resemble an organized team rather than the clueless rabble we looked for vast swathes of the 18 months under Hughes. And Mancini has hardly spent anything.

Rubbish...... hughes would of lost that game, didn't have the balls to make the big shouts.......his start up team is the same one which would finnish a game.
would'nt have needed the "big shouts" we would have been out of sight.
