Negredo allegedly signed

Re: Negredo just signed

Will be a good signing. 20 million is a good price, not that I care, but he looks to have good feet and is good back to goal. Has the stature not to be bullied off the ball, works hard and can finish. Offers something different to Edin, suspect he will start ahead of Edin as well. Welcome to Manchester.

Re: Negredo just signed

I reckon Negredo to beat last seasons' goaltally of Balotelli (the 1) or Tevez (11).

I also reckon Negredo to be much more of a teamplayer than Balotelli (lived in his own world) and Tevez (when playing golf for over 3 months).

Finally I reckon Negredo to fit the teams play and style Pellegrini is aiming for more than Balotelli (he's such a stand-alone he'll fit any and non system) and Tevez (who works his socks off, unfortunately with his head held down overlooking other options for his teammates).

Can we conclude he's the 3rd player no other PL-topclubs seemed to be chasing and who is labelled 'low profile' by many other footies, even the ones not green with envy? The money we paid isn't exactly 'low profile', so Txiki/Pelle seem to take the hard road. Let's all hope the players will be worth a small fortune within 1 or 2 years as it means City will be very succesfull.

Who says this guy will be a 3rd choice striker??. Unless Aguero stays fit all season, and after last season it seems unlikely, then Negredo will be first choice. He has the skills set to flourish in the PL and the desire to get into the Spanish World Cup squad driving him on. Aguero might find himself rotated to the bench more than you think.

Aguero is the main man, make absolutely no mistake about it.

Not too happy with this but hope I'm proved wrong

Shit news day with Bale linked to rags and Aguero to Madrid.

I am very very very disappointed with this pick up I didn't want him at all..now we are back to last season with 4 forwards wanting to start (assuming we get jovetic like we think we will) which is what helped kill are team ..Negredo and dzeko play the same spot now were back to giving dzeko last years treatment..I'm very disappointed in this and think Manuel just kill the hopes for our forward line to play consistently together forming a strong partnership..that's out of the windo cause with jovetic were going to have 4 forwards who want to play..this is what we criticized Mancini for and now pelligrini is doing the same thing...fuckkkkk I don't want this guy

Sounds like the solution is to sell Dzeko. Fine with me.

Terrible solution, this is disappointing business

To be fair there aren't many strikers that would get into our team.

But yeah I don't rate Negredo much either, he is a solid striker but imo not even Chicharito level, let alone RvP or Ronney.

I'm also quite sure he won't be more than a backup striker but they needed one after losing Tevez and Balotelli.

Had me in stitches

Why, blue blinkered specs off and the tosser is right

Kun is a fantastic footballer. By the time he reaches his peak he could well be one of the very best strikers in the world. He's not reached his peak yet...he will be first choice.

Then we have three strikers (Bayern, Madrid, Dortmund and a fair few other clubs don't have three other stikers to their main one) in Dzeko Guidetti and now someone who has a better goals per game ratio than Kun did in La Liga (who by all accounts is a proper team player too - couldn't say that about Mario or Carlos), all backing him up.

£19.8m - when looking at some of the other transfer fees knocking around this Summer (the Cavani one really is ridiculous, he's worth probably just over half of that fee!) - is not bad at all for the sixth/seventh top scorer in all the European leagues last season.
