The AC joint is located at the tip of the shoulder where the acromion portion of the ...................................etc.

Its a very common injury that occurs in high /heavy contact sport like AFL , NFL especially now that the head is sacrosanct.

Often if you land on your shoulder as Negredo did you can do the AC.

Worst case scenario its about 3 months but doesn't happen in football that much.

Tendonitis isn't a chronic condition.

It does tend to be. It's inflammation of a tendon. That usually develops over time. Many footballers and atheletes have it, and train and work through it, but have to rest when it gets too much. Lots of older people get it as well when their joints degenerate and bony outgrowths on the joints rub against the tendon

A medical condition, to be classed as chronic, means there is either no cure or that it has to be controlled with medication. ie. Diabetes, Crohn's disease, Glaucoma etc.

Tendonitis is an acute condition which flares up for many reasons, like those as you state above, however in those instances, it can be treated with rest, medication or surgery. Once this happens, the associated inflammation in the tendon will subside. Ergo, it is isn't a chronic condition.

Exactly. Can you imagine, Negredo telling some nobody he is absolutely fuming and it will be 2 months in Spanish to some bloke who can probably barely understand English!
