Negredo

Negredo will start on Tuesday - nailed on. He is slowly coming back to form - slowly - will score against the rags.

Could be 1-3 to City

I think he'll start also, would be very surprised if edin started off the back of an illness. Dzeko to come on as sub after 60 mins or so. Fingers crossed we'll get right at the cunts from the off.

A little better today and you could see how hard he was working but the poor sod can't buy a goal at the moment.

All that going down the right didn't help him with Milner getting it in the corner and then turning inside and laying it off to Silva or Nasri. A few more attacks down the left with Kolorov zipping it in and we could have seen him get a goal and all his confidence back.

The lad has had a fantastic first season and only the shoulder injury has prevented him continuing in the fine form he was in. As a result if injuries to Aguero and Jovetic and loss of form of Dzeko MP was forced to bring him back sooner than he would have probably liked.

Add to that defenders are now wiser to his runs and movement which has all contributed to him hitting a barren spell. There were glimpses yesterday of the confident Beast we've come to love and he'll be desperate to play Tuesday against Carrick and Jones. We could just see a Negredo hat-trick, just like Owen did to us a number of years ago for Liverpool when he had had a lean spell, which would be very well appreciated. Stick with the beast, his hunger is back and there are a couple of red lambs that may be put to the slaughter come Tuesday.

Because he hasn't been "utter gash"

I don't particularly want to defend Bluescholar because the way he phrased his message was completely unnecessary when discussing a player who works his balls off and by and large has had a very good first season. But he has been really really bad for the last couple of months, there are mitigating circumstances but that is no consolation to us in the sense that there is now no margin for error and we can't afford to pick players in poor form for these next few huge matches even if he does have a good reason for being off the pace. Yesterday was an improvement though so let's hope he is close to properly turning a corner.

Nothing going for him at the minute, his head is down and he's clearly missing that deadly partnership with Serge.

He tried to hit the ball back off the advertising hoardings in the last five minutes, even that bounced up and ended in the North Stand!

^^^^Mostly this^^^^

Utter gash is a bit strong and I wouldn't go as far as 2 really's either, maybe one really and exchange bad for poor. :-)

But I agree with most that the mitigating circumstances have played a major part in his loss of form. He's put a shit load of effort into his 1st season and I feel he was brought back too soon from his injury, because we only had Dzeko fit. When he did come back he played some games alongside Dzeko and IIRC someone posted some stats on here which showed that Negredo's form was effected more by playing with Dzeko than Dzeko's by playing with Negredo.

Yesterday he looked as though he was getting back to his best as he showed a lot of pace, strength and some nice touches. Give it a game or two and I reckon he'll start banging in goals again. As they say, form is temporary and class is permanent.

As for who starts on Tuesday????? Over to you Manuel.....
