I will do cheers. His voice is so unique. Love it

Neil Young is fantastic. Harvest of one of my favourites although I do like some off the Prairie Wind album. Cortez the Killer, Old Man, Rocking in the Free World, all great stuff.

Enjoy!

Genius.

Brief story about his 'Tonight's the night' tour:
Opened in USA, went on stage, played the whole of the (previously unheard) album - nothing else - and then went off stage.
Audience called for an encore, expecting to hear some 'oldies'.
Neil comes back on stage and tells the audience "here's one you've heard before"... and then played "Tonight's the night" again.

Buy everything you can by Neil (including Crazy Horse) and be prepared to be blown away.

Genius

(Probably eats chip barms)

Download his discography and then delete anything rated below 3.5stars on that link. This will eradicate the fair amount of shit he's done and still leave you with a larger amount of good material than Dylan can claim.

Edit: Just seen Le Noise is 3*, anything below 3.

'fair amount of shit'? - harsh, very harsh IMO... On the ball about Dylan though...

As another poster said if you're a newcomer to Neil Young then get 'Decade'. When I first got into Neil Young that was the one recommended to me and I fell in love with it. I can still remember buying it from the long-closed Polar Bear on Deansgate and the owner smiling at me as if to say"good choice mate".
I've seen Neil solo at the Apollo and in Sheffield with Crazy Horse. If, like me, you like his stuff with Crazy Horse I'd highly recommend 'Ragged Glory'.

The man's a genius.
