Neil Young

Personal favourites:

Everybody Knows This is Nowhere
After the Gold Rush
Zuma
Harvest
Mirrorball
any of his live albums (especially Live at Massey Hall as previously said)

He is just class. He got a bit "experimental" in the 80's and it's hit and miss. Personally, I will say though that every album of his has a handful of good to great tracks on them. For me Neil Young and David Bowie are two of the Godfathers of music, love all of their stuff. Sometimes you just need to have an open mind (sometimes really open).

Title track from one of my favourite Neil Young lps.

NY is an absolute hero, superb.

One of my all time favourites

Seen him play at Shepherds Bush (The Half Acoustic/Electric set tour meantioned above) and at Hyde Park.

Both were incredible and at Hyde Park Paul McCartney came out and they did A Day In The Life

Love Mr Young's music too....check this out, IAN McNABB & CRAZY HORSE......this was live at Glasto, so not great sound, but if like, check out his Head Like A Rock album he recorded with them.....this song is about his time in The Icicle Works.....underrated genius for me....

Ian Mc-fucking-Nabb???

There's an expression involving footwear requiring string type fastenings etc. Nothing more than a tribute act![/quote]

Agree, not in Neil's class, but defintely not a tribute act, and as good a live show as I've seen.

Absolutely superb

I think it's from a BBC television special from about 71, the same time as the Massey Hall recordings
That session has been on BBC 4 a couple of times. Keep your eye out as it will no doubt get repeated.

Superb session by the way.
