Nelson Mandela RIP

Here my prediction.

Without the calming presence of Mandela uniting the tribes, I believe a Zulu revolution against the ruling ANC Xhosa oppression will happen within the next decade. Rwanda will look like a picnic in comparison.

The ANC is now widely held as a byword for corruption and gangster criminality after abandoning millions of its supporters to destitution in a scramble for personal enrichment of its leaders.

There will be an escalation of violent strikes by migrant workers and genocide will be committed by the ruling oppressors. The economy will continue to suffer and this will lead to civil war.

I sincerely hope you are wrong. But I am afraid you are right.

You can't say that...you'll upset the resident professional mourners ffs!!

You show respect to the dead without mourning. I don't think you have very much respect for anything except flaunting your views.

Don't be so dramatic and can you keep your weeping and wailing down to a minimum.

You don't know my views i'll just accept it's your faux grief is giving you a moment.

I'm understanding like that.

I'm not grieving bud. I didn't know the man personally. Doesn't take a lot of humanity to show a little respect though, does it. I'm understanding like that.

I think you'll find I haven't disrespected Mandela at all.

I'm just not sat in school assembly complying with "He was lovely" or "He was mean".....I didn't know him and i'm not going to get a record deal out of his death.

If i'm honest I was more worried the shakers and makers were going to cancel tomorrows football because of it.

This should be on a poster for the disaffected society we live in. One of the most remarkable human lives in history reduced to glib comments and a shrug of the shoulders.

Nothing remarkable about maiming innocent people, and who are you to say how everybody should react to the news of the passing of Nelson Mandela?

I'm not saying how anyone should react. I'm lamenting the reactions of some.

I think however you look at it, killing and maiming is most remarkable.

There are some who should be ashamed of themselves on this thread, obviously not that well up on their history.

Probably for the first time, and not surprisingly for a non-football issue, I agree whole-heartedly with Dom. A terrific post indeed.

Second that.

I third that.

There was someone earlier who said that some posts on this thread made him want to leave this forum forever. Well, there are some posts on here that make me want to leave this world.

RIP Madiba. A true inspiration and the embodiment of the word "hero".
Madiba! fucking Madiba!!
How liberal right on trendy is that, have you been dropping that name in the students union bar, works canteen, by the office vending machine or in the DSS que all day, while all the girlies and wets have been shedding tears for ''Nelson'' all day you have dropped in ''Madiba'', awesome
Well done
