Blueish swede. Thank you for being eloquent enough to post what I have been trying to say all day in a single post.

Fantastic post.
Fantastic post my rectum, hes a Swede, the most hand wringing, liberal we want to be neutral bunch of herring munchers in Europe

This is so blatantly racist I actually do not know what to say.

I'm irish. Hit me with both barrells. Please.
Fuck it. Don't bother. You've played your hand.

Would it not be a good idea to create two separate threads, when one of these iconic figures passes on ?
One straight up, post your respects to a dead person here RIP thread, along with a separate "Whoever has died, what did ya think of them ? Discuss ....." type one for those who want to woman, fap, argue, debate, etc their opposing views. Maybe an idea for the mods ?

No idea what to make of Nelson personally, though he had an undeniable charisma that many people seem to be inspired by.

Born near Bradford Rd. Moved to Failsworth when my mum and dad split up. Call me a turnip, even call me a yonner if you dare, but a Swede never. [Throws down glove]

Edit; MUFFIN

We will never all agree on this because he was a person who used violence to achieve his goals, violence by planting bombs in shopping centres against his own people, and then in later life he turned into a figurehead statesman.

He was married to an evil woman who murdered many of Mandela's opponents whilst he was incarcerated, by putting a truck tyre over them trapping their arms, filling it with petrol and lighting it. She also murdered children.

She never answered for these crimes and never was truly condemned by Mandela, because throughout his life he refused to renounced violence.

His ANC was financed by the communist regime. Mandela was friends with colonel Gadaffi, so much so he named his grandson Gadaffi.

Mandela was vocally anti-Semitic, accusing Israel of terrorism and murdering Arabs.

He hated the USA and accused them of being responsible for more atrocities than any other country.

So there will be a lot of people who dont like him, and it is unfair to force the views of those who admire him on those who don't. He is contentious.

This is why it it's wrong to hold a minutes silence at football matches this weekend. It will offend too many people.

The word Swede can be very misleading

And to make matters even worse I had the misfortune to be born in limerick. Even other irish people are scared of me.

Well , well well

we do seem to have a little nest of right-leaning stressheads gathered together this evening

your 'glorious leader' cameron , apparently told NM that he felt ashamed of the Thatcher -era regime trying a 'carrot rather than stick' way to beat apartheid

it didn't work.. whereas mass boycotts did .. the trad right argument was that 'it will hit those you wish to liberate hard'..

Those whose fate hung in the balance said...'bring it on.. we'll put up with some short-term shyte (it's not been great up until now, you might have noticed)

What really pulled that carpet out from under the legs of the aparthheid apologists was the fact that NM laid out a peace plan ...
would love to hear the apartheid apologists suggesting another way forward

My auntie Lizzy was working in Port Elizabeth (Natal) at the time , and said.. NM's release was the best thaing that could have ever happened to SA a a nation...

But please , you 'anti-terroists' from the right....do explain to the rest of us what your solution would have been

Nelson Mandela RIP: a good man

So how do you feel about the innocents killed by mandelas group?

He signed off on the deaths of innocent people, lots of them

Nelson Mandela was the head of UmKhonto we Sizwe, (MK), the terrorist wing of the ANC and South African Communist Party. At his trial, he had pleaded guilty to 156 acts of public violence including mobilising terrorist bombing campaigns, which planted bombs in public places, including the Johannesburg railway station. Many innocent people, including women and children, were killed by Nelson Mandela’s MK terrorists. Here are some highlights

-Church Street West, Pretoria, on the 20 May 1983

-Amanzimtoti Shopping complex KZN, 23 December 1985

-Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court, 17 March 1988

-Durban Pick ‘n Pay shopping complex, 1 September 1986

-Pretoria Sterland movie complex 16 April 1988 – limpet mine killed ANC terrorist M O Maponya instead

-Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court, 20 May 1987

-Roodepoort Standard Bank 3 June, 1988

Tellingly, not only did Mandela refuse to renounce violence, Amnesty refused to take his case stating “[the] movement recorded that it could not give the name of ‘Prisoner of Conscience’ to anyone associated with violence, even though as in ‘conventional warfare’ a degree of restraint may be exercised.”
Serious question - wasn't he in jail at the time of these acts, so how is it known he authorised these actions?
"Refusing to renounce violence" at the time and in the circumstances could have been a political move.

I believe he admitted it at the truth and reconciliation hearings? Might be wrong here.

Great post Blueish swede.

My abiding memory of Nelson Mandela is of his joy and celebration when an overwhelmingly white South African team (I think there was one black winger) won the Rugby World Cup in South Africa. I knew then that he was a very special man to be able to unite such a divided country and rejoice in the achievements of white men after what white men had done to him and his country.

Those who are filled with so much hate that they just call him a terrorist are either racists or ignorant or both. blue underpants, here is an image especially for you, you authority-dominated moron.
