The sign language interpreter accused of using fake hand signals at Nelson Mandela's memorial has said he suffered a schizophrenic episode.

Thamsanqa Jantjie, 34, told South African media he "started hearing voices" and began hallucinating.

But in a subsequent radio interview, he said he was happy with his performance.

On various internet sites (admittedly anti Mandela) it is reported that he admitted 'signing off on' the acts of terrorism in the 70's and 80's in his book The Road to Freedom.
Anyone got the book and can verify whether this is true or not?

It's called"long walk to freedom"...I've read it,he openly admits to,as you say"signing off"...to give the go ahead to the church street bombing..a car bomb was placed outside an airforce base in Pretoria ,killing 19 and injuring 217.
