New car park rules a farce

My wife has mobility issues and I would appreciate some advice to using the tram from Audenshaw or Ashton Moss. I would be coming of the M60 and having to park. I see that Ashton Moss has free parking but only for 200 places...

How crowded is the tram on match day and are the other parking spaces available near a tram station and the M60

Thanks for any replies.
If your wife has mobility problems she will struggle on the metro. We used the metro all last season and first game of this from Ashton West. It was hit and miss, sometimes ok, sometimes a real problem and you can't really predict what you are going to get. Suffice to say we have binned it because after the Sunderland match we got caught in a crush on the tram that was downright dangerous. I have used tube in London extensively and believe me this was worse than anything I have experienced. I complained to metro and they say that things will improve once St Peters square is open (think that was yesterday). Now we are trying out parking close to the ground which worked fine yesterday.

After the Sunderland game I spoke with one of the stewards 'organising' the traffic and he said they'd trialled this new system during the summer at the concerts and it worked well.
The problem is the pedestrians just completely ignored all of the signs that were put up directing them along a specific route for their own safety.
Instead they parted the barriers and just pleased themselves, once one does it all the rest follow.
The 'I'm alright Jack and fuck the rest of you' attitude is massively contributing to the delays, it's needs a rethink now as clearly they hadn't factored in selfish twats!

There is a car park on the school grounds opposite the south stand in between Danny's Hair design and the Maine Rd cafe £6. The chap should give you a spot near the exit due to your circumstances. 10-15 minute wait at the end, then it's not been too bad driving back towards the M60 the few times I've used it, good luck.

I let the train take the strain yesterday, and with looks of things it was a wise decision, although my head does not feel to great at the minute

I have a solution the will fix the selfish tw**s, install cattle grids at gate one and electrify them with 250,000 volts; the i'm alright jack groups will not be alright anymore!

Your best off parking at around Hollywood bowl as more spaces and less bizzy on the platform then Ashton moss and more likely to get a seat if needed. It's stairs directly behind the cinima but wheelchair access to the road behind the 5guys and prezzo eateries ...
Tends to get bizzy closer to kick off time, if you wanted a guaranteed seat you could tram into Ashton from the moss or Hollywood bowl and stay on the tram..
Bizzy on the way back but nothing like the tram going into Manchester , if you don't mind waiting half hour it soon cleares up and I'd guess most blues would give up a seat for a disabled woman..

A mate of mine went to the Coldplay concert (yeah I know, Ffs) and drove from Shropshire. It took him over an hour to get out of the car park, so it didn't work that well!
