New EDS Boss?

Why so 2sips, having never had a break it would give him the chance to work with a much bigger team and learn a few things along the way.

Going from being a premier league manager to managing the u21s just like that - many would see it as a public admission that he's simply not up to it, and he'd know that too. Perception is everything in football and I can't imagine he'd ever step out of the game like that, which is what its effectively doing.

Geniuine question, is this such a bad appointment? I really have no idea what he is like as a coach, leader of other coaches or football philosophy etc. Anyone got any creditable opinions or knowledge? I'm guessing that the CFA hierarchy ( Txiki ) know what there doing and realise he must have a good reputation or made a good impression.

Vieira didn't strike me as someone who would really put anyone elses opinion before his own, so I'd be surprised if Davies had much of a say towards the more baffling choice made.

The worry is we will see more of the same but he obviously commands excellent respect so he deserves to be given the chance to make his own way.Best of luck to him,hes in a very enviable job given the existing and emerging talent at his disposal
