Watching tonight and trying to explain to my lad why it upsets me to see teams like Marseille appear like a pub team in comparison to us.

I can remember teams like Red Star, Feyenoord and Anderlecht being in for European silverware.

Money has really ruined the game, a Super League wont be far off.

It was always going to happen. Once the money got to big to ignore the pigs come sniffing. I have seen at one stage or another most of the teams you mention. People now say Liverpool beat Anderlecht big deal Well it was a big deal They had world class players and great side. Now with money from all over the world teams like Anderlecht cannot compete. If they played in the Premier League they would be able to compete but not in the Belgian League. Good luck trying to explain to your lad . I know exactly how you feel
 
Anderlecht had a good side briefly in the seventies.
Nothing since and before then they were beaten 10-0 by the scum in a European home leg in 1956.

To be truthful, it finished for me a long time ago (Howard Webb/Clattenburg/Sky/GPC, the clues are there). Football has been hurtling downhill at breakneck speed ever since.

It’s been riddled with corruption for so long I genuinely don’t give a fuck anymore. I love City, and always they will be a part of my DNA, but the game in general...no thanks.

Yes it's been corrupt for some time, plus all those years the old top four had everythings stitched up, pulling further and further away from the rest due to the champions league money. I remember one day just feeling total despair as I realised barring a major financial input we were destined to just being cannon fodder for the top four with almost zero chance of winning anything. Thankfully we got that input.
 
they all want the rights to show the live football on their tv channel or on the internet and cut out the middle man sky and BT

mark my works they don't want manchester city in the european super league. unless manchester city agree to some daft ideas with FFP then manchester city are best staying in england and be the figure head in a new league based on the best from scotland and england

let them both fuck off and play each other 4 times a season. fans will quickly get sick of paying to watch the same old shit without the david vs goliath games when little clubs beat the big club
