New Food and Drink Vendors for the Ground and City Square | Edible coffee cups introduced

The cricket is totally different to the football in every way. Even at the shortest form of 20/20 you’ve got at least 4 hours of game time where you can go at anytime. Football is condensed to a total of 1 hour 15 mins (1 hour before, 15 mins at half time)
I’ll have to tell my mates who own the Larwood and Voce, which has bars that face into Trent Bridge, your observation, as that does not accord with their experience at Test Matches for the last fifteen years, especially at lunch and tea.

Yes, but there are a million things we could stop using plastic in first. Plastic has its uses and certain things should be protected from cancel culture - such as plastic cups for beer at sports and music events.
Hmm, I would suggest plastic cups and bottles are one of the biggest litter culprits out of all the plastic we buy (in reality maybe microplastic is worse but you can't see that all over your street) if you have 4 pints at a game/concert every single one of those cups is waste, 90% of them will hit the floor and be swept up the next day and put in the rubbish bin, I very much doubt they will be put into the recycling.

There's no way yesterday can just be out down to "well what do you expect". They were understaffed at the beer areas, had staff not doing anything in the food bars, pumps not working, no visible management, ran out of food and drink early on, didn't have things ready at the start, not enough pumps, not invested in more efficient ones. Told us they would have local craft beers and new food choices and reduced the actual choice to Amstel or Dark Fruits with no bottles like they used to have, and fewer choices of the same old food. A lot of the problems have been evident for years but they have made them worse. Mind you this is just the cheap seats experience. But City are losing revenue, there's a huge pent up demand not being filled, we can't part with our money.

In CB3 there were 6 staff behind the counter.

All 6 of them spent the bulk of the time with their backs to the queues just staring at the beer pumps, telepathically willing the cardboard cups to fill themselves it seemed..

How hard can it be to press a button whilst holding a cardboard cup underneath the nozzle and serve a drink. ?

I know the majority of staff are young kids but they look like a rabbit caught in the headlights when you ask for a couple of beers..

I was talking to an elderly guy behind me and he pointed out that there were no pies on display, half an hour after the turnstiles opened..

Had we sold them all in under an hour ?
Were there any pies to start with ?
Were they being held back until 2pm so they could then be sold at full price ?

Nobody knows..!

Shambles..!

All the general aggro yesterday and lack of respect from the club adds up to a realisation that I kind of regret renewing tbh.

All in all it just wasn’t a fun day. If I still feel like this at the end of the season this might be me done with football.

Didn’t they introduce recyclable pint cups the season before last. Thought they were a good initiative. There is no way that we will be getting served proper measures with a cardboard mug. As it was I frequently had to get the kids to top up my beer when it was originally presented with a 1/3 froth.
