New Food and Drink Vendors for the Ground and City Square | Edible coffee cups introduced

Nothing would entice me to spend my time stressed out in queue for overpriced food and drink of poor quality. When you do get it the place you have to eat and drink it isn't exactly great is it, a dingy packed concourse. Much better to grab a bite in town, cheaper and better quality.
is obviously the correct answer.

If the capacity is 54,000 and just half of them use the outlets, tell me how the best way to serve 27,000 people in an hour between 2pm and 3pm?

And in just one block, what’s the best way to serve 300 people in 15 mins?
Pre pour drinks
Pre order drinks
Employee staff who've got more than one gear
Employee staff who can multi task
They must know how many drinks they serve on average each game

The running out of pies turned out to be a blessing really. Me and my mate went to Pie and Ale in the northern quarter for some food after the game. Absolutely delicious.

Couple of observations about yesterday.

In view of the fact City wanted fans in the ground early, why was there no hot food ready in the heated cabinets at 1.00 pm? Also, why had the beer/cider pumps not been tested before opening?

It really is like those in authority didn’t expect anyone to actually enter the ground before 2.00.

Does anyone know if Jamie Oliver still has a stake in Fabulous Fan Fayre, the company who runs City’s food and drink operation?

He certainly did at the beginning as it was an offshoot of his ‘Fabulous Feasts’ company.

City sell of the rights to all the food beverages to outside company of course you get some staff on minimum wage not giving two fucks or not trained properly!

Thing is, if they hired decent serving staff and paid them, say, £15 an hour, the benefit it would provide to supporters and the bottom line for the catering operation, would be manifest.

That, greater levels of organisation and discernible management oversight and the transformation would be huge. It’s really basic stuff.

Posts saying "why bother for poor beer and food". Well I arrived early at the ground because I anticipated trouble getting in. As it was this was managed by sympathetic gate staff letting people in when their phone ticket didn't work. I was told that there was half priced food and drink for getting in before 2 and it was implied that they would have new food and beers. Once in I was a captive customer. Obviously I won't get in early again and will drink and eat elsewhere beforehand, unless it improves. Having said that as I don't like to be too negative, the pies are good, the game was really enjoyable and great to see everyone. The concourse experience won't affect things, I'll just do things differently in future.

We've got agency staff, I dare say the agency would rather pay them from 12.45 rather than 11.00.

Like you I was early into SS3, within the first 100/150 fans...stood watching staff struggle to understand how the operate a pump. The staff were filling the beer 'glasses' by just turning the tap on without lifting the glass upto it so it was really just froth....dark fruits was the way to go.

I'd normally not bother inside but the stress of possible queues outside & half price beer got me in.... luckily I'd had a curry at home before I left as there was fuck all food.

The queues inside won't bother me again this season, at best in the middle of winter I may have a coffee...where were these wonder cups? Maybe like all the decent beer just in the posh seats?
