New Food and Drink Vendors for the Ground and City Square | Edible coffee cups introduced

Can you not make the lad a cheese toastie at home before you leave?

I must just be a tight **** as there is no way I would pay 3-10 quid for any kind of midday sustenance at a sporting event, it pisses me off no end the prices they charge at concerts, Wembley other captive audience events.

Eat before leaving, if you have a long travel then I'd rather go to a local chippy/bakers for chips or a pie tbh.
Previous posts explained why they got to the game early yesterday. And then they had to travel to the ground beforehand. Not everyone wants a chuffing homemade cheese toastie made at 11.30 to put them on for the afternoon no matter how tight they are.

Funnily enough, made us all laugh, but first catering outlet near City Square was the “garden gourmet” plant based vegan nonsense. Only one with no queue and the only one that was shut on leaving the ground too, must have made a fortune….
Idiots. You don’t come to football for a culinary experience and you certainly don’t come for ethical or health food. The market at football is for beer, pies, burgers and chips. Do them well and everyone is happy.

Sorry, I offended you by posting but yes I'd rather make a cheese toastie at 11.30 than pay a fiver for one an hour or two later, I would then happily go and buy a chippie tea for the way home after the game, assuming I hadn't already died of starvation in the meantime.

ps he said about the cheese toastie in the post I quoted hence my use of it as an example.

Great to be back yesterday, after a short while seemed like we'd only been away for 3 months.

Usual thing, pre-match in Summerbee Bar for hour and half then joined our queue at Entrance C East Stand about 2.20 and after 5 mins we were in via the mobile ticketing...no problem.

After match back in Summerbees for an hour...only thing was thought post match stuff ended earlier than normal and the bar sold out of beer so shutters down earlier.

And do you think Tolmie gives a fuck what you’d prefer? If his son wants a cheese toastie at the ground then such is his choice. My son wanted a chicken balti pie at the ground, of course I could have gone to a chippy or pie shop and got him one but he wanted one at the ground. It’s called being a nice dad.

That's OK. Normally I have something myself before arriving and beer in a pub. But yesterday we were concerned about queues and problems with the new ticketing arrangements and the half priced beer and food appealed to my thrifty nature so we arrived early to be disappointed by what we were offered by the club.

I got lucky really, my queue was pretty quick in SS3, the pie was nice (Steak) and the bill was cheap- £5.87 for 3 drinks and 2 pies. I thought the pies must have been being given away but I think she just messed up on the till.

The choice of Dark Fruits or Amstel though is just wrong.

If they want people in the ground early then they need to offer better options. The government also need to start allowing people to have a drink at their seat particularly if pre game.

There’s always a lucky one.

You’d fall in sh*t and still come up smelling of a steak pie. ;-)

Beer was shite. Had to get the people serving to top it up every time so we didn't just get pints of froth

Queue for refreshments yesterday was ridiculous - waited nearly 25 minutes only to be told they "Dont sell Bovril anymore" and missed a goal in the process.... #fuming
