That 3rd shirt, wow...it's like Nike this year have assigned a group of Rags the task of designing our kits and that last one really takes the biscuit. In a word 'Ghastly'.

Thats got training top written all over it, would be amazed if thats the actual 3rd shirt.
Can't imagine a training top having a buttoned collar

If that's the 3rd kit I can see it selling well. I don't particularly like it but my 2 boys (10 & 13) love it and want it way more than the home or away. I think the younger generation will go for it big time.

Bloody horrid.

But for God's sake, if its just a 3rd kit, and not the CL one (doubtful), then how many times are we actually going to wear it?
Almost as if they don't want to make shirt sales that.

Plus they've put a coloured border on the shield, the cheeky fuckers!
Really like that but its too similar colour to the away ? Just realised this fits in with the being based on the 1999 kit that was mentioned ages ago

If that is the third kit it is definitely the shirt that is paying homage to our 99 play off final victory. I kind of like it for that reason.

I've looked and looked but for the life of me cannot see how this is a tribute to the '99 play off kit.

City/Nike are trying to pass the away shirt off as a 99 shirt tribute as the etihad is in yellow randomly .although not stripes this shirt at least has more of the 99 shirt colours in it .I honestly wonder have they got their press releases crossed?take it you have noticed the back is a different colour to the front and same colours as 99 shirt ?

The whole 3rd kit business was changed and renamed in the last three seasons ... First we went with Champions League shirt ... only to fall into Europa League that season and ended up wearing that away shirt there. So next season club renamed it and called it Euro Away shirt, so we had Home, Away and Euro Away (that nice dark blue, light blue combination) ... but that season we didn't even get to Europa and so ended up using that shirt very little. So last season the club rebranded the 3rd kit as Cup Away shirt and that white 3rd kit got a good use in CL, LeagueCup and FA Cup away games ...

I expect it I be the same this season, the third kit will be the Cup Away shirt and we'll see it being worn first at either a LeagueCup tie or CL tie, depending on whichever away game comes first.

That reminds me, are we the designated home team or away team at Wembley for the community shield? Not that we'll be wearing anything other than the new home kit that day with Arsenal in their red home shirts. And I think we'll start the season in our home sky blue as well even though we are away at Newcastle.

I like that as well !. It just annoys me when they cut out the stripes on the sleeves of shirts to accomidate the prem league badges. If the stripes are just printed on, why have gaps ?. I can see why if its a different section of material.

Picture of David Villa in NYCFC gear. Not the official kit but the sky blue, white and navy looks more like Manchester City than our own kit!

Has anybody seen the Champions League kit yet?

I thought the white kit last year was top notch and wouldn't mind playing in that again this season.

Not CL kit but rumoured 3rd kit...

What coloured shorts with this? Neon Green?

Although I am saying this as a joke, won't surprise me one bit if that is actually what they come out with!

Shorts and socks are the same colours (probably purple front/dark purple back) with light green trim, according to this http://www.footyheadlines.com/2013/12/e ... 14-15.html

and by looking at the supposed versions for Rags etc...

I actually really like it....something a bit different...it's not the worst we've ever had by a long shot

The main problem with that third shirt is that it is NAVY BLUE... we are supposed to wear it if our NAVY BLUE away kit clashes and we can't wear our home kit!
I have never before seen a third kit that is pretty much the same colour as the away kit!

It's purple not blue. I know there's not a, errr, massive difference (a bit like orange is close to but not the same as red.

I guess it means that we'll be seeing the home kit used at places like Chelsea/Everton/Leicester but we'll use one of the aways at teams that play in white, as it means our lightest shade is the home one.

Which leaves the 3rd for Villa/West Ham/Burnley? Although the 2nd kit might work better?

Oh I don't know! It's a very weird colour selection that's for sure.

Away Visits:

Arsenal : 2nd
Aston Villa: 2nd
Burnley: 2nd
Chelsea: 1st
Crystal Palace: 1st
Everton: 1st
Hull: 1st
Leicester: 1st
Liverpool: 1st
Scum: 1st
Newcastle: 1st
QPR: fuck knows
Southampton: 1st or 2nd
Stoke: 1st or 2nd
Sunderland: 1st or 2nd
Swansea: 2nd
Spurs: 2nd
West Brom: fuck knows
West Ham: 2nd

QPR and West Ham will be the main worries, the new field blue could look white in some light and the 2nd navy will clash, as would purple, as would white. would need a yellow or red/black kit for West Brom and QPR. But the new field blue colour might be vibrant enough to set it off from white kits.
