I love the white shorts but I still prefer all navy socks..

thats more the kit I want, i would even buy the whole kit and walk around town looking like the full kit wanker if they did that one!!

That one on the left it absolutely perfect, and should be our kit every season! That could only be City, impossible to think it could be any other team on the planet.

The one on the right could be Coventry, Napoli, Lazio, Uruguay. The one on the left it City and absolutely no one else, so easily identifiable.

Totally agree mate. I had a mate who used to work on the design team at Umbro. I asked him to push for navy socks, the head designer put it to City and they didn't want them.

No idea why, but I'd say supporters are about 50/50 between wanting navy socks or sky socks with maroon turnovers. City have made it pretty clear they're not too arsed about what the supporters want and just let the designers fuck about with our identity as they see fit and treat us like a Sunday League side.

Sky blue or white with contrasting turn over. I grew up with the all sky blue socks with the Umbro diamonds in the turnover, and even enjoyed the sky blue shorts of the era. However, when I think about "My City" it is always sky blue with white trim shirts, white shorts with no trim color, and sky blue socks. I did like the white socks with sky blue turnover last season, though. Thought the white-white shorts and socks combo worked really well with the sky blue trim.

This apparently. Personally, they should stick the Rags badge on it and it would make a perfect away kit for them - not for us.

Also, it would be loads better if it had a white sponsor rather than the luminous yellow.

It's already on sale in Sydney and the colour's terrible,but the material feels better than last years.
I'm not a shirt wearer but my lad wanted one,but he'll be having the much maligned home shirt.

We've been MCFC for 120 years, we've had navy socks for 74 years of that and the nearest to it is about 37 years with sky socks. Navy socks is by far ahead of any other colour socks for amount of time with kit.

From reading these threads over the years, the general consensus seems to be:

100% want sky blue shirts

95% prefer white shorts
5% prefer blue shorts

40% prefer sky blue socks
40% prefer navy socks
10% prefer white socks

I agree the era you grew up with has a huge influence on which you prefer. My guess is out of the 5% who prefer blue shorts, 99% of them were born in the early 70s.
