New Kits 2018/19

I am never one to really give a shit either way what the shirt looks like, I buy them regardless as I have a problem collecting things....

That said, that is one ugly fucking shirt, and certainly Nike's worst effort. Perhaps it will be like the music note Umbro number (despised it at first but it has since become one of my all time favorites, probably Sergio's fault)
 
Shite. Why go back to the 2016-17 design influence? Just make the shirt a consistent light blue with white trim FFS
 
A. It will probably look better on repeated viewings/numbness. So will go from a 1 on a 1-10 scale to a 3.
B. It's really not that fucking complicated to design a quality kit, and I find both the inability to do so plus the templatization to be very frustrating.
C. I haven't bought a home kit (for myself) since the gorgeous 09-10 one that is unlikely to be surpassed. This year won't break the string.
D. At least it's a World Cup year, so to the extent I feel I need a kit I can choose from among several with a City player's name.
 
Just seen it online. My life, what a fucking abomination. Someone needs lynching for that, or maybe even sack them.
 
What were they thinking with this collar.

Posted before and it’s spot on: looks like a baby has been hanging from that collar.
 
I don't like it but I think it's a fair bit less bad than last season's kit. If the sleeves were the same as the body and it had two buttons instead of one I think it'd be a nice kit.

Which, aside from a reminder advert, makes next year’s kit even more puzzling.

Nike has been crafting a “prestige/premium sportswear and equipment” brand and our shirt screams “discount knockoff sports sleepwear”.
 
That's a pretty rank effort on the part of Nike, surely someone at City, higher up, should be turning round and telling them to piss off...it looks like it was stitched together from about 4 other past kits at random. Horrid chavvy looking blue bits on the sleeve just to really rub it in.

That's Nike's last home kit. Won't be buying it but not for your reasons.
