I'll be glad when we get rid of Nike. Poor quality for the money.
Yeh 87 to about 95 were the peak years for City kits for me. Maybe that’s just because they were the ones when I was a kid. I guess everyone remembers the ones when they were young most fondly.
The shorts and socks do save it for me, when I see Leroy flying down the wing like David White, I’m not going to be too concerned that the neckline is a bit too low.
The only good thing about the shirt is that it is better (marginally) than the socks.
I thought we just got paid a fee off Nike each year. They then try and recoup that and more from the shirt salesDo we get a % of kit sales or just a flat fee?
Just thinking a nice kit that would sell could technically mean a S/C freeze.
The socks are the best part.
That’s what I’m thinkingHaha, I’ve really not been converted, as I said, the shirt it’s is fucking horrendous. But I don’t wear shirts so I’m not overly arsed.
I’ve wanted white shorts and navy socks to come back for about 15 years, so I’m not going to let a deep V ruin that for me ;-)
That statement is the easiest way to know that any ensemble it references is shockingly ugly.I realise some people like navy socks but I've always hated them. Not too keen on the shirt either this season. The shorts are the best bit of the new kit.
Ive never liked navy socks either, always looked to me like we've turned up and forgotten our socks so borrowed them.I realise some people like navy socks but I've always hated them. Not too keen on the shirt either this season. The shorts are the best bit of the new kit.

I think it’s what sets us apart as Manchester City from Celts Vigo, Lazio, Napoli, Zenit.Ive never liked navy socks either, always looked to me like we've turned up and forgotten our socks so borrowed them.
It’s not so much because it’s my era, it’s because we’ve had navy socks for about double the time we’ve had sky socks in our history... it’s literally our colour socksI think I posted something similar earlier. I don't understand the appeal at all but I guess it depends to some degree on the era in which you grew up watching City.

Always think our kits look at their best with navy socks
We may well have done but they still look like they are an afterthought rather than part of a cohesive, well designed kit. There's a reason why nobody else uses that colour combination (that I know of anyway).
