New League wide financial system.

forest fan on talkshite just had jordan reeling good job news break was coming up to sweep it under carpet
he basically said clubs GOOD clubs plan for 5/10 years not 3 rolling years and goalposts moving halfway through and its now closed shop to everyone except top 5 clubs
jordan gibbering about owner spending too much to try stay up

A silly analogy really as this is the football pyramid we're talking about. Without the lower leagues there wouldn't be a top tier (not one I'd want to follow anyway).

The top tier is made mainly of imports now, other than straight academy players that is. The idea that Scunthorpe or Crewe are going to bring the next gem into the premiership is a fools errand.

Just because there is an idea of a pyramid (Too many professional clubs) doesn't mean it's fit for purpose mate.

I think the Premier League are shooting itself in the foot stopping outside investment,
Just because United don't like what's happened over the past ten years with not winning the title means football is broken, Even the FFP rules that were put in place were for one thing and one thing only stopping (Manchester City) and not for the good of football and protect football clubs bollocks.

Why are clubs listening to them? and letting them change the rules to suit them, United are so badly run and £1.5billion in debt so what do they know about protecting football clubs from going under? I think Manchester City should be leading the way forward and should be involved in any rule changes about how to protect and build your club without debt.

Maybe Manchester City should offer all the clubs to vote on a new system and league structure and protect lower leagues properly, Fuck United and Liverpool and Skysports subscription packages, Maybe a major internet company could back Manchester City and offer double what Sky are offering and blow them out of the water

It is bizarre that new rules that will give City a decent advantage are being complained about.

They can't make up new rules that disadvantage City based on turnover.
Imagine if we post a 700m turnover in the National league North, we would be able to spend like Wrexham

In line with UEFA, so no probs!

85% revenue allowed to be spent on wages & transfers.

Need a new sponsor Mansour!!!
so,thats even more weighted in favour of the "big clubs" us included ?

e.g.

we get to spend 400m a season, luton get to spend 30p a season, why cant the "smaller " clubs see whats happening, even newcastle will be far behind in the amounts they can spend

Pretty much keeps it fair mate. The gap is only going to get bigger now. The clubs at the bottom will be getting hit for 6 weekly if this new abomination is passed.

City have bolted tho so we are ok. It don’t mean it’s right or fair tho.

If im a newcastle fan or whatever team. Whats the point? Cant spend money and only the big boys allowed dine at top table

Well if going off the past 3 seasons United have made losses so how could they spend money before reducing the debt as well? Allowing clubs to only spend 85% of revenue should only be for clubs that are not in debt, Clubs in debt should be made to pay off their debt first

Don’t worry Scruffy Jim and Dave Brailsford will arrive with some Jiffy bags to rescue United.
