if a band that have previously made music bring out a subsequent record this year,
how does it qualify as being called new music?

Or to suit your interpretation of what it should be maybe the thread title should be
Music by bands or artists who have not released anything prior to 2024
Works for me as it is though, music, including songs that are new this year. Are you on holiday from another thread by any chance?
