If everyone if that can took them back and swapped them and did the same thing they would force Nike to change it, would be a huge embarrassment to the club to keep having to change the shirt.

It already is an embarrassment by the sound of things.

It's obvious why we are with Nike. Umbro are owned by them, deal was probably done a few years back when we went to that Nike Campus in the States.
Wasn't Gary Cook top brass there for years as well?

I'll be buying myself a classic shirt from the 60's or something.

I've had my shirt for 3 days and have the same issue as most, pulls really easy. Looks like I've had it for 6 months.

City store are aware of the problem, and exchanged my lads top after 1 day no problem.

Will they do it again next week, and the week after, and the week after that and so on. Because swapping it isn't going to resolve it in the long term.

Its not a one off where the stitching has come undone its an issue with the material that is used in every single shirt.

This is going to be a huge embarrassment to Nike and, if it isn't resolved quickly, cause problems with the club I'd have thought.

Write or email City about this - Nike won't give a toss - they've had your money and know that there's plenty of people who'll still buy one next year - especially when they promise that one will be a harderwearing material.

They offered to exchange or refund, I took the exchange and they added a note on the receipt and advised to return if the same happens again.
They welcomed the feedback, and if more people return the shirts, I'm sure City or Nike will be forced to take action.

Well done the City Store.

Looks like they're on the side of the customer - should be interesting.

Wasn't the shirt made with recycled plastic.

Yep! And Nike were banging on about how thats a good thing somehow... makes the £55 price tag seem like even more a rip off. Still, gives the kids who make the kits something to do at the weekend, make kits monday to friday then get down to the tip and hunt for bottles saturday-sunday.

I dont think recycling is considered a bad thing

I doubt nike are about saving the environment. They would see it as money saving, but obviously they wont be passing the savings onto us

They are new products just made with recycled material. The prices are high but they were only slightly lower before under Umbro who were owned by Nike when we wore it
