I wonder how many designs of shirt City fans are generally willing to accept. It seems to me that the only real difference people on Bluemoon will agree with is a slight change to the shade of blue. Any additional design or embellishment ruins the shirt. That's fine and all, but if we essentially want the exact same kit every single year, that's pretty much the entire club merchandising income - the stuff which is supposed to be getting us through FFPR - out of the window.
I'm not defending £55 shirts here, by the way, and I wish we didn't have to release a new shirt every year. Heck, I'm not even saying that I disagree with not liking un-plain kits. But we do have to release a new kit every year, and with the greatest respect in the world, companies like Nike would go out of business every year if they released shirts which were exactly the same as the last acceptable kit. Might as well accept that you're all not going to like any new shirt they offer anyway and get it over with. At least we didn't get a tea-towel.
