New Nike Kit 13/14? (Merged)

I wonder how many designs of shirt City fans are generally willing to accept. It seems to me that the only real difference people on Bluemoon will agree with is a slight change to the shade of blue. Any additional design or embellishment ruins the shirt. That's fine and all, but if we essentially want the exact same kit every single year, that's pretty much the entire club merchandising income - the stuff which is supposed to be getting us through FFPR - out of the window.

I'm not defending £55 shirts here, by the way, and I wish we didn't have to release a new shirt every year. Heck, I'm not even saying that I disagree with not liking un-plain kits. But we do have to release a new kit every year, and with the greatest respect in the world, companies like Nike would go out of business every year if they released shirts which were exactly the same as the last acceptable kit. Might as well accept that you're all not going to like any new shirt they offer anyway and get it over with. At least we didn't get a tea-towel.

Its actually grown on me the past hour! Not as bad as it could have been.

WHeres the goalie kit though?

And if the away is black and gold - it reminds me of evertons 'chang' kit!

Edit/ and do you think the 2012/13 home kits will come down in price even more now? Ive got the chumps league 3rd and two umbro training tops but dont fancy spanking £25 on the 'old' one then nearly £70 on the new with Kun 87 on the back

That keeper kit mus be a place holder. Use the zoom in, there's umbro badges on the stands and the beginning of Bobby's banner. I'll wager it's the green one from eariler.

I can't even find the 12/13 kits on the OS. Umbro training still on there.

I was hoping these would come with a scarf like last seasons...oh well

The colour of the shirt is absolutely perfect. Without the shield it would probably be our best ever shirt. I'm willing to forgive them for the shield.

The socks however, are an abomination.

Can't believe people are having near heart-attacks over a simple shield around the badge.

Can you imagine what would happen if they brought in a pattern etc?

-- Wed May 22, 2013 1:17 am --

Embarrassed by a shield? Your lot have been wearing a tea towel all season.

I've been having doubts about his posts too.

Funny how there are dozens of posters saying the shield is wank, but they don't get called rags.

I actually like the kit, I can live with the shield, but the white socks thing really pisses me off.

I said exactly the same thing about the blue shorts and the black badge. To me, it's not City.

I'm never going to wear any of it, but the tradition and history of the club is important to me, don't know why that would make you think I'm a rag. It would be easier to not give a toss, but I do.

It's not you saying stuff about the shield, it's that nearly every post you put on here is something negative, always bloody moaning about something.

You had a meltdown over Mancini leaving and are now foaming at the mouth over the colour of socks!!

Is the guy in the red shirt Buster Bloodvessel?
