New striker?

So we've lost Sergio, Silva and, by some accounts, Bernardo, possibly Laporte.
We've signed Jacko. Although, admittedly, time running out for the latter two and hopefully they stay
Hard to camouflage this as a great window, especially with rivals strengthening.
Where are Bernardo and Laporte going? Haven’t heard of any see any serious bids for either. Only one I thought might have legs was Bernardo to Atletico but they’re signing Cunha.

A fairly low cost/low risk striker would be okay to rotate with Torres and Delap until next Summer when we can reasses.

Andre Silva, Dzeko & Ings would’ve fit that bill.

Off the top of my head, there is Edouard and Dembele. Depends how desperate Pep is for a striker.

What’s our buyback on Iheanacho?

Right now I would go with delap or raz.
Jesus has to stay on the wing & im just not sure on Torres he goes missing way too much.

I wouldn’t mind foden given some time up top either. He knows how to score.

who ever we use pep has to give them the game time & stop rotating that position for me.
The problem we have with all of the alternatives to Jesus in the middle is that he is the only one who has the physical strength and touch to hold the ball up when pressed from behind- and that is something referees are allowing even more of this season. It may come with Delap, but he's very much a work in progress and far too young to lead our attack this season. If we don't sign a proper striker in this window, then we'll have to rotate.

Apparently Pep refuses to deal with Mino Raiola, who is Haalands agent.

Raiola called Pep a coward and lower down than a dog. They hate each other.

They may well hate each other's guts, but Guardiola has nothing to do with the transfers (admits that himself), so beyond deciding whether a player is good enough for his squad, he shouldn't have to deal with the player's agent. If that dislike of Raiola extends further up the chain, then fair enough.

If we are not buying any striker then nobody should be leaving . Why should we get bent over and sell our players cheap when everyone fucks us in the market . We should grow bollox and keep the players here .

He's not.

Not a fucking chance we are giving Edouard or Dembele a contract they can sit on when we eventually get what we want and they are sat on the bench.

At this rate we either throw Delap in and he ends up being a lot better than people think or we roll with Torres. Simple

The confusing part to me is that plan B appears to be "do without and go rotating false 9." I struggle with the difference between a focus man up front through whom much of the play ultimately goes and what appears to be the near opposite of that kind of play.

This whole situation has me flummoxed. Either there's a plan B we don't know much about in terms of a last-second acquisition, Pep thinks who we have can transform themselves into a full-time 9 or Pep wants us to be flexible enough to play with or without a focused 9 so we either get precisely who we want or we go to no 9 at all.

This isn't a criticism -- I don't know enough to criticiz(s)e -- I'm just befuddled.
